Emails Highlight Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Relationship

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK to deliver a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists slowed down my talk don't think I can make the plane we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were published on this week together with more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the Congressional committee contains an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets has been able to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, events, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of the president's key aides in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a film about Epstein prior to his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his podcast earlier this year, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a aide.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Messages

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in that year.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this day with Farage, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "The guys are attempting to proceed. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so people see the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the people over here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

May was eventually toppled in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK told media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the justice department should release all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited this week after the publication of more than 20,000 pages from his archives.

A portion of those referenced Trump, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but says they fell out in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
