The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in influence within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants retribution.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could enable the team enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them little choice but to travel to the northern region in search of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will not appear next week, leaving the other eight players to round up the Seekers and Planners parties.

Fans can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
